Directors
Broc W. Edwards
Broc W. Edwards is one of Grit Development’s Directors and core leaders. Additionally, he is the President of SC Services, a demolition and construction services company, Founder & Managing Partner at Pronoia, a private equity focused firm, and Managing Partner at Exit Quotient Ventures, a pre-seed and seed stage venture fund. Prior to his involvement in these entities Mr. Edwards worked several years on Wall Street as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch, Keefe, Bruyette & Woods and Raymond James, where he specialized in M&A and capital markets advisory for diversified industrial and specialty finance companies. Mr. Edwards earned a B.A. in Finance from the Eli Broad College of Business and a minor in Entrepreneurship & Innovation from the Burgess Institute at Michigan State University.
In his free time Broc enjoys spending quality time with his friends and family and playing golf.
Jillian Lorenz
Jillian Lorenz joined the Grit Development team as a Director and champion of student growth. In addition to her key role at this entity Mrs. Lorenz is a multifaceted entrepreneur with roles as a Venture Partner of Exit Quotient Ventures, a pre-seed and seed stage venture fund, Chief Growth Officer at BridgeCare, a coaching and mental health company, and business coach / speaker to numerous other organizations. Prior to all of her current endeavors Mrs. Lorenz founded and successfully exited The Barre Code, a boutique fitness studio, that grew to nationwide prominence over the last decade. Mrs. Lorenz earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering as well as an Honorary Doctorate in Business from Michigan State University.
In her free time Jillian enjoys staying active and exercising and spending quality time with her family.
Alex Hill
Alex Hill joined the Grit Development team as a Director and network facilitator. In addition to his role at this entity Mr. Hill is a seasoned Wall Street professional with years of exposure to financial markets and quantitative risk through his roles in sales and trading and now at a well established hedge fund. Outside of his day to day role he has gotten involved in strategic private equity and real estate investing furthering the legacy of established entities. Mr. Hill’s hard work and dedication has propelled his illustrious career and has made him a mentor and advisor to many in the process. Mr. Hill earned a B.A. Finance from the Eli Broad College of Business graduating at the top of his class.
In his free time Alex enjoys exercise and fitness, frequently training for triathlons, as well as spending time with his wife and friends.
